I am mother of the year!!! Really don't even try to catch me!!!
Yep, Its official !!! I have all the guilt to go with it. I AM THE MOMMY OF THE YEAR!!! What did I do to earn such a honor you ask.. * I hear you asking* I sent Landry to school on Tuesday morning to buy his lunch with no lunch money on his account. My poor baby had to put back his pizza and eat a cold nasty cheese sandwich. No not a grilled cheese sandwich. 2 pieces of cheap nasty bread with piece of cheap nasty cheese. so basically my little growing boy did not have lunch yesterday. Poor little thing!!!

reality check...
Ok so this is a 2 part post ..
First, a good friend of mine collapsed at work on Thursday last week. Come to find out she has a brain tumor. BUT, If you have a tumor its the best type of tumor to have. Its not cancerous ( they think) it doesn't have any fingers and once you take it out it doesn't come back.
YEAH
Last night at 6:30ish she had a blood clot go thru her heart and cause a serious of massive heart attacks, They revived her multiple times and finally the family made a decision to give her some medication that might save her but might cause brain damage. Not good options. That is when they called to tell us so we rush up to the hospital. By the time we get there the Dr. had just come out and the medication has started working and she is "off of deaths door" . Praise God!! she is no where out of the woods. We hang out for the next critical 4 hours and go home. This morning she is responsive and doing much better.
Part 2:
My church family amazes me.. It really does. Jason and I have struggled with our church the last year. mainly b/c we were having pastor problems. But here is what happened..
we got the call at 6:30 ish. It said call people and start praying. I went down my call list of about 15 people. Only 5 or so of those people had not already been called by someone else. SO basically with in about 15-30 minutes she had 100's of people praying. I believe that is why they were able to revive her so many times. I just am in awe of this church family if someone falls there is a huge group of people to pick them up. This is not the first time I have seen this. When my brother had cancer there were people making blankets for the whole family and praying and they had never even met him. It is an awesome thing to witness.
I know politic and religion don't have a spot in "blogworld" but I just had to say....

Dallas Zoo
Shhh.. Don't tell the ft. Worth zoo, but we cheated. We went to the Dallas Zoo. We had never been to the Dallas zoo. Landry had an app downtown and we figured why not. It was very interesting. I now know why we had never been to the Dallas zoo. It was small and not alot of animals. On the up side, It had a cool kids space ( better that ft.Worth but don't tell her I said that) It had this really neat trading post. You collect stuff in nature and go in and trade it for other stuff. You get point and Can "spend" them on other things there. That was cool and Landry sooo wants to do that. Luke was once again mesmerized by the skeletons and was picking out femur bones of small animals and asking if this was it.. My little orthopedist in training. That or a geography teacher. If there is a globe or map anywhere with in a 5 mile radius he is there looking. Just not sure which one is more interesting to him right now.
Hmmm.
Light bulb... His mom... Pre med turned P.E. teacher ( long story don't ask)
...Dad.....Geography teacher turn Principal.... hmmm... ok .. maybe its not a natural tendency maybe he's interested in what mom and dad or interested in or is it a natural tendency.. We could so get into the nature vs. nurture decision here but I digress.
Back to the Zoo.. ( anyone wonder why my kid is ADHD) .. So the Zoo.... There were a couple of very cool things that happened at the zoo. We feed the birds. I know you can do this at ft. Worth but, here they land on you and eat like your shoulder..
The tiger was by far the coolest part of the day. WE just happened to be by the tigers when it was feeding time. They came out and stuck hamburger type meat all over the place high in trees and one right in front of the window we were sitting at, so we got the closest look to a tiger ever. WE saw him jump up and climb up the tree to eat. It was very interesting.
The next cool thing is they had a stingray exhibit, where you can pet and feed stingrays. Landry loved it we were there about an hour petting stingrays. He almost fell in the tank b/c he was reaching out so far to pet them. That was really funny. I fed them, Landry was a little afraid. Could be b/c his mother screamed the first time they ate it. It kinda felt like a horse eating out of your hand. Interesting. Luke not so much on the stingrays. He looked at them. He was not about to put his hand in that tank.
How can I have 2 kids so different?? oh well that's another post. I'm off..
