Oh poor baby! That's one short "summer cut"...did they make you pay for it? And yes, dogs can tell when you laugh at them. I had a Pomeranian that I shaved myself and he sulked when I cut his hair because it looked so horrible and we laughed :)
I feel for him. I have had that very haircut before...it is best not to tell him.
